Conrad Hnatiuk

Hnatiuk’s career spans over 25 years of successful public administration and management of large organizations. His experience encompasses public service delivery in the fields of health, education, social services and information technology and includes twelve years in the private sector.

He has a strong administrative background with experience working with different levels of government, primarily with regards to inter-governmental cooperation and international development. His most recent work has focused on strategic planning and transitioning large systems.

Highlights of Hnatiuk’s include establishing the framework for a review of the current directions for health delivery in Saskatchewan. This included the establishment of a governance and delivery structure for the Saskatchewan Health Information Network, and the negotiation of a contract to build the Electronic Medical Record.

A concept proposed by Hnatiuk led to the development and implementation of the National Children’s Benefit which facilitated the integration of welfare, tax and implement support programs. He has led major reforms in the field of child welfare programs and policies, and both presented to and participated in numerous national policy initiatives. As well, he has worked extensively with community agencies, and established the Treasury Board crown corporation Saskatchewan Health Information Network (SHIN), to advance the use of technology for a sustainable, quality, public health system. Hnatiuk also co-chaired with the federal government and represented the provinces in the establishment of the Canadian Blood Services agency. He also has provided leadership to numerous initiatives with First Nations and Aboriginal communities.

In recent years, his focus has been on business development as senior associate at HJ Linnen Associates, Consulting, Communications, Strategic Planning and Research. He is a currently a member of the board of Safe Water and LED Technologies (SWALLOW) and advisor to Habitat for Humanity.
